Hofstra University invites applications for Adjunct Assistant Professors or Adjunct Instructors of Dance in the Department of Drama and Dance. The Dance Program welcomes artists, dance‑makers and teachers to contribute to the ballet and/or contemporary dance curriculum. This individual will engage students across a range of experience levels, including dancers from our BFA, BA, and BS in Dance Education degrees, to foster a dynamic and supportive learning environment. Responsibilities Teach core courses in the dance program curriculum. Develop course syllabi that align with the department’s mission and values. Teach across a broad student body with students from various levels of experience and cultural backgrounds. Support efforts to create an inclusive environment for faculty, staff, and students. Qualifications MFA or BFA in Dance or equivalent professional experience. Preferred Qualifications Teaching experience in higher education.
